Summer at La Randulina
Head into the mountains, go for a bike ride or simply see where the day takes you. From Ramosch, you can soon be out along the Inn, in a mountain village or a little higher up, with a different view around each corner.
Stop at a café, pack something good to eat and enjoy having time outside together. Found a spot you like? Stay a little longer. You are on holiday.
Below are some of the places and outings we enjoy ourselves.
“Sometimes doing nothing and looking around you might just be the best activity of all.”

Ftan swimming lake: our absolute favourite!
This is somewhere we love going ourselves. A swim, a spot on the grass and mountains around you, with nothing much to do.
The children can play in the water while you settle down by the shore. A towel, a drink and something good to eat make a lovely summer afternoon. There are toilets here too.
Feel like staying longer? Bring something for the barbecue and make an evening of it together.
Dogs are welcome beside the lake but cannot go in the water. We have other suggestions for a swim with your dog.
Into the water

Nothing on the agenda. Just warm water, mountains all around and some time to yourself.

A few hours at Bogn Engiadina in Scuol feel lovely after a day of walking. Sink into the warm water, swim a little and take your time. It is also a good way to spend a day when you feel like leaving your walking boots behind.

Freibad

Freibad Trü is the sort of place where a warm summer afternoon slips by easily. The children want another dip while you settle down with a book on the lawn. Sometimes that is all a day needs.

Rafting
Down the Inn together, splashes in your face and a good bit of paddling. That will wake you up!

Climb into a raft with a guide and see the valley from the water. One moment you are drifting between the mountains; the next you are paddling through the rapids together. Plenty to talk about over dinner later. Choose a trip with the provider that suits your group.
Out and about with the children

At Seilpark Engadin in Sur En, the fun is up among the trees. Work out the next crossing together, cheer each other on and enjoy that little feeling of pride when you make it. There is plenty to watch from the ground too. Pick a course that suits the children.

Goldwasser Nauders
Water, sand and mountains all around. The children soon find their feet at the play mountain in Nauders.

Just over the Austrian border, Bergkastel is a lovely place to stop and play. Building dams, splashing about and finding something new around the next corner. Allow a little extra time: “just five more minutes” can last quite a while here.

Funpark
A day for anyone who fancies a little more action. In Fiss there is plenty to try, laugh about and look down on.

At the Summer Fun Park in Fiss, the plans tend to make themselves. First you decide what you dare to try, then someone wants another go. With the mountains around you, even waiting for each other is quite pleasant. A fun family day out.

A visit to the farmer

Sometimes there is plenty to discover close to home. A farm visit is lovely for curious children and their parents. And a nice connection: this farm makes some of the cheese you will find at the lodge. Please arrange a visit in advance.

Feeding the squirrels
Who will spot the first one? A walk by the lake in Davos becomes a little adventure when squirrels appear along the way.

Something moves between the trees and everyone stops. Look closely, walk a little further and see who turns up next. Make it part of a day in Davos and take your time. Give the animals space and follow the local guidance.

Up in the gondola, down on a scooter. Even the idea sounds fun.
From Motta Naluns, ride a mountain scooter down towards Ftan and Scuol. Feel the breeze, stop now and then for the view and enjoy the way down. At the bottom, someone is bound to ask about another go.

Walk from Ramosch to Hof Zuort
From Ramosch, it is about a 1.5-hour walk to Hof Zuort, a special spot surrounded by nature.
A walk with a lovely reward: settling onto the terrace and ordering something good. Green hills and mountains around you, and time to stay at the table a little longer. A nice destination with children too.
Try a different path back or enjoy the same lovely route again? We are happy to share the way we like to walk.

This is a walk that gives you plenty of reasons to pause. An old house, a village fountain or a view between the buildings. And, of course, a chance to discover how different the water at the drinking springs can taste. Which one gets your vote?

Lai Nair above Tarasp makes a lovely destination for an easy-going walk. Watch the mountains and trees reflected in the water and find a nice place for a break. There is no need to do much here. Just sit for a while and look around.

Mountain biking
A gentle ride through the valley or a climb with a view as your reward. There is always something new to see from the saddle.

From Ramosch you can head along the Inn, through the villages or higher into the mountains. We think a stop for something good to eat is part of the outing. At the end of the day, come home to La Randulina and leave your bike in our Bike Station.

Mountain railways and cable cars
The guest card included with your stay gives you free summer travel on the mountain lifts in Scuol and Ftan.
Even the ride up is fun. The houses get smaller and the view gets bigger. At the top, go for a walk, find something to eat or explore with the children. Your mountain day starts in the gondola.
It is a nice start to a bike ride too: bikes can travel on several of the lifts, leaving you more time to enjoy the ride. Bike transport costs extra.

By the Inn or somewhere along a mountain path, a picnic in your bag makes any break a little nicer. Or bring something for a public barbecue spot and stay a while longer. Use the designated places and observe any fire bans.

Make a leisurely day of it. Stop to look around on the way, take a walk by the lake and find somewhere for lunch. It is a lovely change of scene from the Lower Engadine, with an evening back in Ramosch waiting at the end.
