Many guests travel by car navigation, it almost always sends you via Stuttgart. That is the shortest but very congestion-prone route. Our favorite route is via Frankfurt/Würzburg (A3), dropping down towards Ulm (A7) and then traveling towards Landeck via Bregenz. This route is a bit longer, but relaxed. Another option is via Basel and Zurich. Here you can bypass Basel via Lörrach (A98).
If you are driving through Austria, you will need a vignette for a minimum of 10 days. This also applies to the route over the Fernpass, as the tunnel near Landeck is a freeway.
If you are driving on the highways of Switzerland, you will need a Swiss vignette.
Included in your stay is a guest card. This card provides free access to public transportation (bus, train and summer ski gondola) and gives discounts on various activities in the region. You will receive this guest card digitally with your booking.
